17" Mesh Screen Sanding Discs, Virginia Abrasives
Screen discs are used primarily on hardwood floors. The discs sand down the old finish so that new finish can be applied. This is known as the "scour method" of refinishing a floor and is most often used on gym floors. Superscreen
discs come in grits ranging from extremely coarse to extremely fine. All our discs are manufactured with waterproof resins & silicon carbide abrasive, assuring you of the finest quality discs you can buy.

Sanding screen discs are excellent for removing raised wood grain in the final sanding stage and scuffing between finish coats. Discs are manufactured with silicon carbide that is bonded to a uniform open mesh. That process reduces loading and increases the efficiency of your first cut. Less loading contributes to reduced wear and tear.
The open mesh offers higher resistance against the friction and heat of continuous sanding. Greater productivity puts money in your pocket whether you'rer a contractor, or homeowner
These sheets are ideal for use on orbital sanders in the final sanding stage for removing raised grain and for scuffing between finish coats.
- Open-mesh construction contributes to less loading, more consistent cut.
- Better initial cut saves sanding time.
- Longer life means fewer stops to change abrasive.
- Heavy synthetic cloth backing resists fold-overs.
- Water Proof, can be used wet to minimized airborn dust, can be washed to remove clogging.
